Top-of-the-World Fan Experience at Head Of The Charles
Prefer to enjoy the Charles in comfort and ease akin to the luxury boxes of Fenway Park or Gillette Stadium? Then check out the Eliot Bridge Enclosure, presented by Delta Air Lines, at the Head Of The Charles Regatta. Again this year, the Eliot Bridge Enclosure (EBE) will provide riverside luxury for rowing fans, at a price within reach.
Located just upstream of the Eliot Bridge, the EBE experience offers a close-up view of the crews as they come through the most dramatic piece of the river and head into the race’s final half mile.
For $75 per day, or $125 for a weekend pass, EBE patrons will be treated to coffee and breakfast followed by a buffet luncheon provided by Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar. Lunch comes with two complimentary drinks and there will also be a cash bar for the thirsty. A race announcer will provide color commentary, and a television will serve up real-time race results.
And, while no one expects or wishes for a return of last year’s snowflakes, the Eliot Bridge Enclosure will provide heat and shelter should the weather again turn wintry.
Tickets are limited and sold out before Regatta weekend in 2009. Tickets may be purchased through the HOCR website until October 20th (as available) http://hocr.org/2010HOCR/EBE.asp.
